Muslims are supposed to work together towards a common goal set by the Quran and shown by the Prophet (PBUH) through his Sunnah. They are brothers and sisters because they are bonded by the common ideology of the unity of God and the unity of humankind.
Allama Iqbal expressed like this:
"Shajar hay firqa arayee, ta’assub hay samar iska
ye wo phal hay jo jannat se nikalwata hay adam ko"
"Firqa bandi hay kaheen aur kaheen zatein hain
kya zamane mein panapne ki yahee batein hain"
"Tum syed bhi ho Mirza bhi ho Afghan bhi ho
tum sabhi kuchh ho batao ki musalman bhi ho
NOW SEE WHAT HOLY QURAN SAYS ON ISLAMIC UNITY...
(22:78) "So Establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector"
(3:103) “And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;”
Devout Muslims take orders from Allah very seriously. When they listen to an order from Allah, they say “We hear, we obey” (2:286)
(21:92)"Verily, this Ummah of yours is a single Ummah, and I am your Lord and Cherisher, therefore, Serve me (and no other)."
(23:52) "And verily, this Ummah of yours is a single Ummah, and I am your Lord and Cherisher, therefore, Fear me (and no other)."
Devout Muslims appreciate and respect the facts of the Quran, and consider them as guidance in life.
The society’s chairman Inayat Khan and secretary Johar Mukhree said, “Whatever religious functions are held in public or in a society’s premises, they shouldn’t hurt sentiments of other communities or sects. This ruling comes as a big relief to not just us, but other societies who face similar issues.”
Aqeel Mirza said, “We are unhappy with the ruling, and we will appeal against it soon. Being Muslims, we understand if our actions hurt other sects of Muslims or communities, and we have never hurt others’ sentiments by our religious functions.”
