If most of shia isna asheri are giving khums khums/zakat/donations/other Charity why a huge number of shia isna asheri persons are living below average life and are not able to maintain their routine expenses.
So many times i listen that our community people do not pay their Islamic taxes sincerely. Khums , Zakat, Charity, Sadqa are financial duties of a Muslim then why we neglect to pay?
Its reason is only one that is material love.
- So first reason is": Our Community do not pay wajib islamic taxes regularly and sincerely because of love for worldly pleasure, and money.
if someone is not paying Khums, I doubt calling him Shia Isna Asheri as in our religion who ever has grabbed the right of Janab-e-Sayyeda (s.a.) is considered to be zalim no matter how honorable is he considered by other people.
Be steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax and obey the Messenger so that perhaps you will receive mercy (24:56).al-nur
This is a big question that after having so beautiful system of khums , zakat,and other islamic taxes why still we live below poverty level.why we do not have good medical colleges,degree colleges everywhere. why our video beg and wait hours just for recieving rs.500/-? Why true Poor syed are not getting any financial help properly?
The answer is only one, that is dishonesty in distribution and misuse of these funds. I do not say every idara ,organization or person who is authorized by mujtahid to collect khums misuse this fund but this is a main reason that our needy are not getting proper support.
we already have good system that we pay our all the Islamic taxes to our Mujtahid. In so many cases mujtahid issue Ijaza by trusting organization or person after taking witness of ulema. In some cases organization or person who was authorised , cheat Mujtahids by misusing that received amount of khums. we all are sinners and nobody knows what is inside our heart.Only Allah knows who is honest and who will misuse the fund.
I have suggestion: Keep watch on organization who have ijaza, Pay sahm e sadaat personally,do not leave everything on Ulema or maraje. You can take permission from your Mujtahid to do so , if you have any doubt and be sure you will get permision. Ask reciept of mujtahid when you pay to any organization sahm e Imam(a.s) and pray for early re- appearance of Imam e zaman(a.s).
You can see in both the cases dishonesty is the main reason and to stop this it is very necessary for all of us to follow proper Islamic rulings of Paying Khums, Zakat. It is our habit that we immediately start to doubt our Ulema and completely neglect our own mistakes and ignorance.

I ask Allah The Most High, The Omnipotent to always guide & support you.
In response to inquiries from Momineen, we emphasize once again that paying Islamic dues to whoever holds an authorization (Ijaza) is not sufficient. A demand for a receipt issured by us(ayatullah sistani or him or any of his Liaison officers(nayab)) must be made [to the person receiving the Islamic dues]. Bearing in mind that discrepancies in adhering to the Ijaza may occur either through forgetfulness, error or similar situations. A clear conscience by the payer (of Islamic dues) cannot be attained unless a receipt is obtained as above.
I ask Allah The Blessed The Most High to grant everyone that which is good and beneficial.
